Science Diplomacy is an emerging sub-field of diplomacy as well as a strategy that scientists or technical experts can use to engage governmental and diplomatic representatives in early-stage discussions of scientific or technical findings or innovations that might have public policy or public problem-solving implications. Science diplomacy may or may not be assisted by professional neutrals. Diplomatic academies around the world have begun including science diplomacy training in the programs they offer on a regular basis.
